The EDMS is a unique database tool that offers users versatility in monitoring environmental data on-site. EDMS allows users to place or remove objects on a map in accordance with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) layering principles. EDMS makes use of recent advances in technology including ESRI MapObjects and Visual Studio. It works very well in Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or better and Netscape 6.0 or better, does not involve a difficult installation procedure, and is housed in a central location for convenient accessibility to information.
